A. Understanding Our Minds

SELF

The Self is the core of who you are — the centre point between your lower mind and higher mind.

It is:

  • Your identity

  • Your awareness

  • Your ability to choose

  • Your inner witness (the one observing thoughts and emotions)

  • The part of you that decides what direction your life takes

The Self is neutral.
It can rise upward toward peace and harmony…or sink downward toward turmoil and imbalance.

THE LOWER MIND

The Lower Mind is the part of you shaped by survival, fear, and emotional impulses.

It deals with:

  • Needs

  • Desires

  • Grudges

  • Expectations

  • Reactions

  • Addictions

  • Disorders

When the Lower Mind takes over, life feels noisy, confused, and unstable. It reacts quickly, wants instant gratification, and often creates:

  • Stress

  • Conflict

  • Overthinking

  • Emotional imbalance

  • Self-sabotage

The HIGHER MIND

The Higher Mind is the part of you connected to wisdom, clarity, and balance.

It deals with:

  • Harmony

  • Peace

  • Happiness

  • Purpose

  • Intuition

  • Long-term vision

  • Creation & preservation

This part of your mind:

  • Thinks clearly

  • Loves truth

  • Aligns with values

  • Creates inner peace

  • Makes balanced decisions

The Higher Mind takes you beyond fear-based thinking and helps you grow into your fullest potential.

When the Higher Mind is active, life feels:

  • Calm

  • Balanced

  • Meaningful

  • Flowing

An example:

Lower Mind:

“I want it now. Why isn’t life going my way?”

Higher Mind:

“This situation is teaching me something. Let me respond with clarity.”

Self:

Chooses which voice to follow.

Harmony begins when you rise above the noise of the lower mind
and allow the higher mind to lead your life.
